Bartletts Solicitors is sponsoring the Under 9s team at Upton Junior Football Club for the year 2014 to 2015.
The law firm has sponsored the full kit for the team of players aged between 8 and 9, who are part of the Panthers Team at the club.
“We’re excited and enthusiastic to be this year’s sponsors of the Panthers Team at Upton Junior Football Club,” says Trevor Morris, Director at Bartletts Solicitors.
“It’s great to be supporting the local community, and it’s lovely to see the young players going from strength to strength as a result of all their hard work and training.”
With teams of players from the ages of 5 up to 17, Upton Junior Football Club runs training sessions with individuals of the same skill to foster a greater sense of achievement and encourages under-18s of all abilities to play, with the aim of improving talent, understanding and self-esteem.
The club has achieved the Football Association’s Charter Standard Community Award, a scheme that sets standards for coaching, administration and child protection for clubs outside the Premier and Football Leagues.
“The club is at the heart of the community and focuses not only on the improvement of each player’s football skills but also on teamwork, social skills and confidence to bolster the kids’ sense of accomplishment,” Trevor Morris says.
“Every age group has its own coaching session and players train with others of a similar ability. The club emphasises involvement and wants the young players to play together in a way that is fair and respectful for all those involved – the other team members as well as the coaches, referees and opponents.
“As a sign of how committed we are to this local Under 9s team at the club, one of our solicitors Eliza Austin-Lea’s son Alex plays for the Panthers in midfield. It’s little wonder the entire office cheers the team on!”
